Reba turned to the scientists in the Gigantic Loop Experimentation Chamber. In a bell clear tone she sang but one word: “Faster.”

The scientists looked among one another, sweat pouring out of their nostrils. “But Reba, it may not be safe to make the device accelerate.”

Her eyes grew fully cyan and the polarity within the room began to reverse. “Do we ask the eagle whether it should fly or do we insist he must?”

The scientists nodded sagely at one another and collectively pushed a giant green button. I could feel the seat spin on the track quicker than ever, the velocity giving all of my bones a new winged shape.
